Hi all, my name's Anth and I live with my wife and daughter in the northeast. I'm a project director at a design agency by day, and an artist by night. I've had more cars than I've had hot dinners, and that's saying something - my main passion is American muscle, but I've always had a thing for British Fords and Vauxhalls as well. Until October last year I had a 1990 Mustang 5.0 GT convertible as a toy, but it was totally impractical - next to no boot! I swapped it (foolishly) for a dayvay, which I took a deposit for today. At the same time I spotted a Mk2 Cavalier convertible, and I've wanted one of those for years. I got permission from the boss and I'm hoping to g…

Hi guys! Joining the mk2 club for the 2nd time, been about 6 or 7 years since i was last on here! Ironically its with the same car again lol. Its a 1986 D Reg SRi. After selling her 6 or 7 years ago it's gone through quite a few owners, spent a lot of time off the road and has somehow made its way back to me. She's not a pretty sight anymore but hopefully many long nights with a grinder and a welder and she'll be happily roaring down the road once again. Only have 1 picture of it atm, and that was on the back of the trailer from picking it up. Here's a wee photo of it now beside the last photo i took of it before I sold her. It's a very different car to w…

So my Commander project that was going so well has slowed up a bit,you know the scenario, welder bloke busy/can't borrow the trailer to get it back to the paint shop for polishing/yada-yada....*yawn*... Anyway I was quite content to wait a little while ,I've got other cars so no need of transport when: "Hallo mate you enquired about a Cavalier saloon a few months back? well are you still interested because the lady seller has dropped the price considerable etc etc..." Had to ask the guy to remind me as to what it was as I had absolutely no recollection of talking to him or anything about the car, which is described as,"a red saloon, one owner,22 thousand miles ,no …

Hey everyone, my name is Christian, talking from Brazil. I know this forum for a few years, and from time to time I pass by just to see your gorgeous Cavaliers. Now I have my own one 1983 Brazilian Monza SLE 1.8 litre E100 engine. It is a truly barn find, almost 20 years stored. Some rust here and there but it is in good shape. Now beginning restoration process. Promise to keep you updated every step I take over this car. Thank you guys.

Hi, i've been a member on here twice (i think) before, as Lord13... (Any chance of merging my accounts together or just renaming this one as 'Lord13'? doesn't really matter i guess, it's a stupid name anyway, i just use it on every forum) anyway like i said, I've been here before... once with a red L hatch and again with a mexico red GL hatch Here it is again at Billing 2012 ( this time shamelessly fitted with a calibre front bumper) I've tried to access my old accounts but i have no clue to the passwords or have any access to my old email addresses, I did email admin with the issue, but no reply Although to be honest, i…

Hello, just bought a mk2 cavalier I live just outside glasgow. Onto 3rd classic. Just sold 1988 Orion ghia , before that it was a 1979 manta Sr berlinetta. I prefer clean low milers, as I don't do welding. Anyway love cavaliers, dad had 2. One an 84 GLS saloon. Amazing car. This one is a clean low mileage poverty spec car, but to me the base models are just as awesome. Here's link to some history and photos of my new very greeeeeeeeeeen car http://www.newoldcar.co.uk/index.php/component/content/article/98-featured-cars/vauxhall/1655-featured-cars-vauxhall-cavalier-1982-vauxhall-cavalier-1-6l-5-door-ref-97

Hi Again, Mk2 Cavalier owners, It's been a few years since I 've been on here but pulling the cover off my MK2 LX since 2011 has re- ignited my MK2 fire. What happened to that mint "Champers" Cav I used to see at Billing every year? still recognize a few names on here though.
