- Autobiography After parting with my '87 2.0GLSi in 2013 it was only a matter of time before I bought another. I'm 4th owner of this LX, the first being Barnsley Football club until 1991, then it lived in Pontefract (my birth town! )until 2017. The last 10 years it sat on the drive after its owner passed on. His wife kept it so it looked like someone was indoors! 2017 and a father and son from Tamworth bought it in rough state. Gave it fresh paint, underside stripped and re sealed with small amount of welding, new brakes, exhaust, fuel lines, belts and pump, service. Its not been far since being recommissioned, could really do with a head rebuild and better carb. Intend to break it back in this year. Constant battle with whether to keep standard or modify, time will tell, but she looks too good to mess with. Main plan is to keep it on the road and enjoy it - the best bit!!
