As some of you have seen.  VBOA has already been announced for 2026. 

I shall post again soon with details.  Hopefully I will actually get a message from them myself instead of me chasing them.

I shall be attending a VOBA reps meeting in early November.  

For anyone that went to the VBOA @Sywell this year., would appreciate any feedback.  Be it good or bad. Shall be bringing all that is mentioned.  As I have a few myself.

Camping next to your cars is allowed. 

Dogs are allowed.

Full shower and toilet facilities on site.

Catering on site 

Marquee and Bar.

BBQ's are allowed (must be raised)

No fire pits no exception 

Entertainment subject to sales.

Strictly 11pm off music

Gates locked at 9pm

Generators allowed with consideration. 

No track action due to not allowing 

Tickets will be priced per day entry and per day camping 

So you will need to purchase a day ticket for everyday attending and a camping ticket for every night staying

And sad to say with the way it appears to be this will be the first time in 15 odd years  that i will not be attending

Any car on a stand, as opposed to the any car public car parks, has to be owned by a member of a VBOA registered club. As there is no other VBOA club specialising in Cavaliers and the Mk3 is so closely related to our Mk2s  it makes sense to have them in the same place at the show. This will be the third VBOA show where both generations of FWD Cavalier have been on their own on the same stand.

This thread gives you details on the procedure you need to follow to show your Mk3 Cavalier (and camp if needed) on our Mk2 Cavalier stand at this years show.

In summary

- Check on this thread that space is still available (it is)

- Buy a 6 month Mk2 Club membership via https://www.mk2cav.com/store/category/2-club-membership/

As per usual, Derek Thompson at GM6 Spares, is organising his annual ‘Family Fun Weekend’ in & around Penzance, Cornwall over the late-May Bank Holiday - 24th-27th May 2024.

I’d like to cordially invite any of you guys & gals who’d like to attend, to join us in the fun, p*ss taking, wind-up’s and general joviality that ensues!

We seriously have a great time - with organised and ad-hoc runs out, meals, BBQ’s and a fantastic treasure-hunt each year…you can join-in with as much or as little as you like - there’s no pressure to do anything!

VBOA want to know

1. How many vehicles on the stand per day.  We want to know how many are Mk2 Cavaliers and how many are others, Vauxhall or not.

2. How many tents and their approx size e.g. 2, 3 , 4 person etc The tents etc are at the back of the stand.

3. Any caravans/motorhomes/trailers if any, as space may be limited.

So, when you say you are coming please state

- name (handle and real), what car, reg, which day(s)

- if overnight your tent size (people capacity), motorhome, caravan etc

I know I’m new to the club & group, but I thought I’d let you know of a Monza/ Royale/ Senator group meet in Penzance…26th-29th May (Bank Holiday) Weekend.

As a group, we have a ‘Family Fun Weekend’ each year - all very laid-back, informal & fun and along with the Opel Manta Owners Club, I thought I’d throw-out an open invitation to you guys, if anyone cares to join us?

Although we have a basic schedule, nothing is set in stone as to what we do and peeps are completely free to go off and do their own thing if they please…
