Hello Guys I am from Canada and I have the unloved Aston,a Virage. As we have none of these here(Virage),and our Cavalier in North America is nothing like yours,I am grasping at Straws all the time. I read some time ago that the early Virage's used vauxhall Steering colums and switch gear, the later ones used FORD stuff, I have an early one. Can anyone tell me if these might have been from the Mk2 Cav? I am trying to see if I can use a different steering wheel on the Virage (the OEM one looks a bit like crap honestly) and as there were many more Mk2 Calavier's,I should be able to locate a steering boss easier than from some unobtainium Aston suppli…

Hello, I signed up to see what interest there would be in a estate tailgate, i came across a good one in the 90's to replace a rusty tailgate on mine. I got rid of the car before i got around to swapping it over and i still have it, it has been kept in garage ever since. Regards Dave

Hi all, just a quick post to intoduce myself. This is my project car, 1985 SRi, one previous owner. I purchased the car in 89 drove it as my daily for approx 6 years and then garaged it which is where it has been ever since dry and warm. I decided at the start of the year it was time it saw the light of day again so currently working towards getting it ready for an MOT maybe feb/mar next year. Will go into more detail as it progresses. Yet to decide whether i will be keeping it or selling it once completed.

Hi all im Adam and this is my first Cavalier i bought at the weekend and im looking to get all the rust sorted over the summer and get it looking how it would have been back in the 80s. i have considered modifying it but i think i would just be ruining it. it drives beautifully and is very comfortable, my parents had one back in the 90s almost exactly the same apart from being a hatchback. opinions and idea will be greatly received and ill start a thread to show progress.

Hey guys had a quick scope about on the site and all looks good seems to be some really knowledgeable guys on here, I'm a Vauxhall enthusiast and have been forever iv had nova's Astra GTE's a manta GTE a Cavalier sri130 and 2 mk3 cav Sri, a Carleton a senator 24v an omega automatic (hated it) a yellow calibra (moment of madness maybe) and many many more but I'm feeling a little incomplete and my daily driver (Astra H Sri cdti making alot more power than it's supposed to lol) just isn't doing it for me any more, I'm looking for a mk2 cavalier ideally although I'd consider something else old school Vauxhall it doesn't have to be an sr130 I'd consider an lx gl or estate car …

Hello I'm new to the forum - name is Andy. I have a Mk 2 Cavalier L saloon sat in my garage that hasn't done anything for a few years and am looking for the best route to sell the old girl. It was my first car & it was a runner when I drove it into the garage back in the latter part of 2000, but it hasn't moved since. My initial idea was to lay it up for a short time, but other events meant I neither had the time, or the resource to do anything with the car. I'm now faced with the need to offload the car if at all possible & I think the right person could do it up & make it a runner again. It would need a bit of work to get it roadworthy again…

morning all, thought id say hello after finally registering on here! please excuse the user name, I really have no imagination! (that's give the game away) this leads nicely to disclose that somewhere, deep behind the bbq, patio table, bags of cement, tile cutters and copper pipe there lies in my garage a certain 4 door Vauxhall. now, if I were to confirm the boot lid is graced with those immortal words, cavalier, 2.0i, that may raise the odd eye brow? its important to note the tail pipe sports the name irmscher on the tip, and if you are able to get around the junk you might find a little "I" badge on the grill. so, the old girl once found, is clearly dusty since the la…

Hi , greetings all . I joined recently as I bought a project 1982 opel ascona 1.6d saloon and have found the site good and helpful and have even bought a good bonnet from a member here . My car has no history ,about 5 owners on the book , mileage that could ve gone round the clock more than once , rust holes all over it , and sounds like a massey ferguson but I love it . I had a '89 astra bought but when this came up for sale I jumped at it . I will put up pics soon

My first cavalier was a blue hatchback reg WHA 259x I often wonder where it is now. Or if it's even on the road still. Dvla hold no records of it. Wish I could find the pics of it to post but no luck so far. It was the best car I've ever owned had some great holidays in it, and it had so much done, always regret selling it. What was everybody else's first cavalier. Story's would be nice to see.
