Hi all. Not been on here for 11 years or so , now kids are a bit older i used some ppi money and treated myself to a saloon. Always wanted a saloon but never had so guess this time il keep it and by looking at it it will take a few years to get it how i want it. I took a half day and unloaded it onto the wash bay and got stuck in. Came from an old peoples home in bath , chap i bought it off had been offered it through his company and decided it was an ebay job. its done 57k with all its books and paper work , even got original vauxhall recall letters. A good wash transformed it realy , i panicked abit this mornin when i rocked up for work but i feel much better now. Got all the old fuel out of it and a new fuel line on , battery on and it powered up ok everything working and turned over lovely. Carb stuck absolutely solid so gave up on trying to start it, iv had to strip the throttle plate off the carb to free it all off, clean rest of carb next day or two then try for a first start in 12 years. Had to force the rear doors open to find the door seals had simply .... melted. Il put some before and after pic’s on. Keep ya posted !
