thanks for all the compliments guys, but tbh the car isnt quite as tidy as it looks theres a couple of holes in the rear end around exhaust & arches, should really buy some new skins... My points to sort out are : 1. Wonky rear bumper 2. rust hole just above exhaust 3. rust holes on both sides just behind rear wheels 4. generally clean up and polish the engine bay 5. Remove the damn leaves from my vents 6. get some new alloys not sure which (recommendations?) 7. new front grille, mines broken might bid on the one with the in-built fogs on ebay i like the look of that. 8. fit the new rear passenger side rear cluster i won on ebay today 9. fix the rear screen washer, ( when it operates water comes out the corner of the screen ??? 10. new passenger side mirror 11. get a new airbox made up from aluminium 12. and finally (for now) fix my central locking

sorted out my problem now after a LONG night stripping & cleaning my current carb. new problem now, which alloys should i get the horrendous halfords wheel trims are only there till i get some more funds... any ideas?

Hi all, been registered on the forum since i got my 1988 blue mk2 cav hatch 1600 about 2 months ago when i passed my driving test, and i love it. I was given the car by my dad after he bought it for the princely sum of £100. So far all ive done to it is polish up the rocker cover and generally clean it up and give it a bit of a freer breathing air filter. All the rust i can see on it is a bit above the exhaust and the bottom of the rear arches. i've already checked the rear suspension arms &c. Also just wondering if anyone on here owns the fairly mint white mk2 cav parked under a tarp in coulsdon valley road. Or the red cav LX that gave me a wave in reigate the other day. Thanks, Ross.
