yep all the 2drs in ireland were brought for 1984, a couple might be registered in 85 though, but youll struggle to find many more of the 84 registered cars now even, a rare beast now!!!!

From what I've heard the number was 112 but it they weren't only available in 84.

John boland had them later than that and the one Jim Nolan has now is an 88. 

Still with there only being 112 to start with they are rare now

there were a few still knocking about after 84 alright that werent sold and registerd later,if its the gold one of  jims that  wasnt an irish car from new as they werent available here in late spec , that car is now also in donegal

as theyre were only 120 imported into ireland and they were only available in 1984  they are a rare machine these days!!

although ive been told theyre were only 92 imported either way a rare beast!! and  a few others on total opel that the users havent  let on they have!!! :o  there are another 3 on there that havent been shown

cheers for that kensascona! your a gent, some might say shes past saving but if it was a mk1/2 escort or ford it would be restored so why not, and we're not excactly trippin over 2dr models!!!

im here in ireland and this is the ascona il be restoring over the winter, needs a massive amount of work but im sure it will be worth it in the end, its a 2dr sport, but has an 1800sri engine fitted and sri brakes all round , has recaro interior but needs a bit of work aswell, hav got almost everything now to do her  im still not sure how to put the pics from photobucket on here i will try in a while again heres a link in the meantime ;D
