Will not be there on Sunday now, 84 yr old mother is being treated for Ovarian C which was diagnosed about 6 - 7 wks ago, Had another does of Chemo last wk but hot weather not suiting her so staying with her to monitor her temperature at the moment as she is a little weak. Would have enjoyed Sunday but family must come first.

Thanks lads, i am hoping to have some good news tomorrow, i am off to sunny Anglesey to see about a contract there, only about 80 mins away. But if this fails i will have to take the car off the road, times is tough in my line of work and i have no chance of recovering full monies from companies that have not paid me ( no names for legal reasons at the mo ).
I would not say my SEH is the ultimate, but idea was to build a standard looking engine with internal mods only ie no Throttle Bodies, Turbo etc, complete with standard exhaust and manifolds.

Mine has done that but works most of the time, i will get an auto electrician to replace the box when i find my spare. I cannot be bothered with what looks like a lot of hastle.
-
I go mainly to general auto jumbles, rare parts can still be found there cheap if you look, some of the reason being the guys do not always know what car the parts are for.

Dawn thats no problem i will bring some Denso tape with me and explain (assuming i dont get flooded in at home like last year ) which sounded like a blessing when i heard about the weather at Billing.

I will be easy to spot, 6ft tall, old 61 yrs of age 1970,s tash, greyish hair which is always to long, liking for colourful shirts and one of only two left as far as i am aware Carmine Red 130 Saloons ( the other guy being many many years younger ) and accompanied by possibly suffering wife, tribe of kids and grand kids and a liking for purchasing Cav spares which i will never need which are usually piled on my back seat wrapped in cloths to avoid damage. If you see me speak to me i dont bite.

Perhaps we should all wear stickers with our club names on eg mine would be neilsri130. We did something like this in the TR6 stand a few years ago, worked well however i like most members removed them when leaving our stand area.

More like the 150 bhp seh in action ( if i am lucky ), remember its only normally aspirated. But if it does what the expert WB said it should do 160 - 170 with what has been done which i seriously doubt i would be pleased. I think he may have based the output on his building powers not mine.
-
I may be interested, as i dont believe the optomistic power quoted to me by various well known experts for my SEH mods are correct but i would like to be proved wrong.

Hi Wiemar welcome to the site ,that looks a very nice car you have, are they rare in your part of the world? What is the one parked next to you with the front end missing?

Hello, that Corsa looks very, very nice, i drive a 2004 1.4 sri as a daily because its cheap to run reliable and i like the look of the M3 mirrors on the sri, ok with 90BHP it is not exactly a flying machine but it goes ok for what it is. I also run an SRI130 Saloon which i use regularly all year round. There are a few Cavs for sale at present of various models, depends on your budget, and preference and a wealth of information and advice on this site covering parts, rebuilds etc. Whatever the problem chances are someone on here will have had it and know a solution.

Hi Caroline and welcome to the site, there is a wealth of experience on here from simple jobs through from minor to full restorations and engine upgrades. Also a good source of parts or info on where to get parts. Ah MGB, i have had two of these and an MGC 3 Litre with a university motors conversion, and will have another to keep the 130 company ( if wife and bank manager allow!!!)
