judging by the damage in the photos i thing he is talking about the front wings

chris you have worked so hard to get this close just find out where the tyre is touching the wheel arch and bend the arch lip up with a pair of pliers and get your ass to billing this i one party you don't want to miss out on ;D ;D :angel:Well i'm still at home and dont think i'll be making it this year now :'( . brakes are sorted, just a couple of small bits to deal with, but for some reason one of my rear tyresis catching the arch and i dont want to wreck a brand new tyre. Anyway in my absence, i hope you all have a fab time and that the weather is good to you...i have my shorts on so that should keep the rain up north

that might prove to be a bit difficult as the trailer will already have the gold ascona aboard and i know ive just fitted a new clutch today but i don't want to wear it out on just one trip ;D ;DKen, just to prepare, can i borrow your trailer if when mine breaks down
-
ive been dropped right in it poo the person who was going to bring the gold ascona berlina has just found out he can't drive her on his insurence as hes only 24 if push comes to shove i am thinking of taking her to billing on a trailer could i leave the trailer at the back of the mk2cav stand if i have no other option please :'( :'( :'(

i know ive given the date of regestration for the ascona as 01/09/86 but that refers to when she was regestered in the uk not the date of manufacture which is written on the v5c as 1982Can everyone make sure that they have included their first registered date, I want to put together a timeline poster / calendar for 2012 and beyond and the dates are quite important cheers!

hi wiemar she's not a vauxhall she definetly an ascona sr/e they are very rare in the uk as they usually had to be specially ordered as far as the history of her goes she was built in antwerp back in 1982 and was first used as a military police car on some army base in germany she was then brought back to england by one of the soldier's from that base in 1986 and was given a age related registration number i acquired her in june 2000 when her last owner was going to give her to some banger racers so i rescued her and restored her to her present condition for her full story can be read here
