I have a 240v/110v  petrol generator i can bring this year if anyone has lights we can use illuminate the gazeboo area

ive got a 6 metre rope light in white or an 300 watt floodlight i can bring along to billing

count me in ive got myself booked in  ;D whats the score on spec sheets as mines looking a bit jaded  :-[

ive got a spare tent you could borrow  just ask anyone who was at billing 2 years ago what its like  ;D ;D ;D

don't hesitate mate the old saying go's he who snoozes loses and hesitation can be fatal if i did the same with my ascona it would have ended up being raced 

i may be getting on a bit but i was sure it was a GL now just go and get it just look at that gorgeous green interior saying come and save me  ;D ;D ;D

hear hear and you can't get a much earlier GL than an x reg  ;D

didn't teezer say his 82 sr didn't have a l/h door mirror when he got it i'm sure if you take a close look at the photo you can see a gl badge on the tailgate

lovely asconas you have got there you are very lucky getting road tax free on cars over 25 years old unlike the tight fisted gits in govenment over here  > > >

what spec is it? does the lack of pass mirror mean its base spec?

are there any pics of the interior, seats dash.

mot would make it better, have you had a quote for the work, or any idea what you would want for it done?

ive just had a close look at the photos and it a gl spec giveaways are what looks like chrome rings on the wheels a 4 spoke cd type steering wheel what looks like green dash and velour seats and there is a GL badge on the tailgate so pirate go and grab it  ;D ;D ;D

which one is that

yes mate she's got all 4 wheels fitted and not a brick in sight lol  ;D ;D ;D

Ive got one its a 1.3 base spec saloon there not very common as they were overlooked in favor of the upmarket models like the sri/130's and the cdi when people started to appreciate their up and coming classic car status  ;D

we have had a couple of early gls's on here recently but they may have been broken up for parts by now a member called blitz had a red gls saloon he may still have it intact

congratulations on finding an early estate not many of them left now you should have a chat with newbody and rabbit between them they have 3 estates i'm sssooo glad you are going to keep her standard'ish you should join the club as it will give you full access to hard to find parts and advice its the best £15 ive spent in a long while as for attending shows we hold several events throughout the year the best one being the vboa meeting in early july

welcome back to the site you are right to say the sr's are rare I'm sure there are only 8 sr's left 5 hatches and 3 saloons if you need any advice on restoring her engine wise talk to teaser as he got an Sr like yours good luck with your project  ;D ;D ;D
