Hello there peeps My names alex, but i prefer being called Spud (nice nickname) as thats what everyone in the entire world calls me Im 16, just your typical teenager, i have a scooter, but i can assure you im not a chav ;D. I am part of 2 scooter clubs (Thanet Scooterists + South Coast Pirates S.C.), and will be getting a Vespa PK 100 this year. My grandad owned a Cavalier GL from new, he retired early, and as a result the car was only used two or three times a week to go shopping and to church. As a result of under-use the car was never very reliable, it never got to properly stretch its 1600cc legs on an open road, which was a shame The car was an A reg. 1.6 auto, in green with a matching, brilliant condition interior sadly in its later years it suffered from dreaded surfast rust (as most do lol). When my grandad died in 2006, me and my mum had to bring gran to live with us in Kent, and as my grandparents lived in Essex, we had to make an 160 mile round trip every weekend to check the house was ok whilst we were trying to sell it. Then attention turned to the Cav, and at that moment in time (and still now until we move house in the next month or so) we have an awqward to get into parking space, so we can only park our Astra in it. Sadly this meant at the tender age of 13 i had to decide if i wanted to spend all my money renting a garage and storing the car until i had the knowledge to work on it, or crush it. The worst decision iv ever had to make, but after a long think the maths just didnt work in favour of keeping the car and she had to be crushed :'( :'( I have regretted seeing her being loaded onto the back of the flat bed and being driven away down the road ever since, it still makes me sad now just thinking about it. But i have decided i will have another mk2 in my life again!! and will give it the life it deserves!! ;D anyways thats my Cav. life story over hope you enjoyed it. Spud
