Hello it's been a while but just a quick update! The old girl is going in for two new arches in a couple of weeks! The drivers side has only a tiny bit of filler in but passenger side has alot mire! But i thought i just as well get them both done.also getting the graphite sprayed right along drivers side as there was a tiny scab thst someone tried to cover with hammerite!!will put pics on before ,while and after!!

i wasn't really looking for one ! it sort of happened was looking for opel manta or astra gte mk2 but this came along and i'm glad it did! every time i drive it it puts a smile on my face! the kids have fallen in love with her and the wifes sort of coming around.. ha ha

chris that is a very fair comment!! and i am going to do that and start a project thread like matt said. does the club sell the window stickers ? or is that a sad thing nowadays ???

hello again ! another update. have put her back on the road today with no leaks !! yipee.. driving lovely have sent matt a few pics and hopefully they will be on soon as i'm a numpty and cant do it .

right just a quick update !! still waiting for sump to arive so its still up on stands ! got new sump bolts and thanks to matt a new mirror switch i have taken pics of sump bolt snapped and the removal and when i get her back together again i will take a few more pics of inside and all over and ask matt to post them for anyone interested to see thanks for your interest people!!! ;D

yes is a shame the white ones gone but it was a long time ago !! i will try my best to bring this as close to imaculate as i dare with the wife watching!!

well you learn something new everyday.. ;D and me telling everyone it was an 84 A! HA HA also when i went to get the sump they were saying there are 2 variations is that right? surely it was just the one and im sure it was the same engine as i had in the astra gte reg B201 JMO..also has anyone in the club got the same model as my first one ? i would love to see pics of one again..mine had the checked interior

that sri is a beauty! looks similiar to my first one. was it the one that was won in a minolta compatition?i just missed out on that one if it was. but it looks like its found a good home now! ;D

thanks matt! check out the hoover! ha ha ! it was a nice car though..can anyone tell me why in that car it had recaro's in platic in the seats but my new one hasn't ? ??? also it had a boot release button right next to the fuse box if i remember rightly. the reg on that white one was A662 UGF poor things dead now i think.i traded it in for an mk2 astra gte good move or not?

thanks matt! i am keeping it standard! just a couple of bits needed like the bolster re done as worn! and i need a new mirror switch but thats about it!i have had a few probs with sump leaking whitch i posted on the technical link . in the end the sump was rusted through and i got a new one coming in the week so she will be on the road then!

hi just bought red sri hatch and so far so good!! its very tidy not too much to do has a leak from sump gasket . i had a polar white saloon sri back in 1988 she was on an 84 A i was 18!! wish i still had it! but this one seems okay so far. still got original radio and looks like its been kept standard. I will try put pics on. the sump looks a bit scabby i would like to take it off and repaint is this a difcuilt job? any comments or advise would be great!the wife thinks ive got mid life crisis and calls it a chav alier!! ha ha
