  1. A friend of my dad had a black sri saloon (but not sure if was a 130) for years, many years ago now, Must have been 2000/01 when he sold it, wish I had known it was for sale loved it. Was a beauty of a car black was the perfect colour, I was running around in a 1.6 Belmont GL at the time.

  3. Hi guys hows things then? :) The show is opposite the dead center of Kilmarnock.......... the cemetery lol. In all seriousness it is the school or college, not sure which, campus on Grassyards rd near Kay park. It's the same club as held the show at Dean park, believe they moved it as the show was often cancelled due to weather as held on grass. New venue is all hard standing which is good. I will be there as cavvypogo says, I will have two cars there my Cav and my Avenger like last year. it would be good to meet other members there :).

  4. Nice one Sal, like it a car I always thought looked smart. Some dodgy people out there but bodging brakes? That's just crazy when you can get the right parts easily and cheap, also it's the safety factor. Although I avoid using them as much as possible, I do like to know they are spot on when I need them.

my daily car wouldn't rev past idle when I went out in the morning.

What was that about needing a modern car for reliability?? lol :D.  My Audi A6 my sister and her husband is using will hopfully be the newest car I'll own. As for modern comforts the're ok but nothing beats the rawness of the older cars lol.

Hope to get the chance to see the Calibra in the flesh............or should that be "in the metal"??? :lol:

  5. Hi mate, how you doing? Been meaning to let you know got one of the new bumpers I got from you after the Errol show, fitted on to my Cav looks a lot better now. Used the GM original plastic part with my metal bar. Sticks out at sides a bit at the moment,  but looks good and square on the front. How's your car going? It's looking good  :)

  6. I don't do Facebook and sometimes think that's why its quiet on here .would be even worse if everyone just went on Facebook page instead  :( can't see me re joining Facebook so I'll probably miss out on quite a bit so we will see what happens .

I am with you cavvypogo, I am on facebook or at least have a profile there but hardly ever on. So don't worry I'll still be here to keep you company  :).

Sorry JB3GT8 for helping hijack your thread.

  7. 20 cars, nice Andy everyone thought I was bad with just the 7 (although would have more if I thought I could get away with it lol  ::)). Thanks for the invite, would love to see your collection. Got a mate up in Inverurie in another car club, so never know might make it up that way some day.

  8. So hopefully 27th of Jan will be good for everyone, just need to organise a time and place to meet  :). Even if you have to bring something other than your Cav, although would be good to see 'em :). Be a good way for those not meet each other (in the flesh) to meet up, then maybe organise some more get togethers  :).

  9. Hi Kenny when I was looking for a cav I seen one in northern Ireland, a white one was really good but at £3250 was a bit pricey. Then as you say the ferry is quite expensive. February might be a bit akward as back to work fully then :( but should manage something,  but even a meet before without it would be good  :). Cavvypogo's is a restoration project I believe, he can correct me if I am wrong. Mine is on the road all be it needing some tlc and work. Where in Paisley are you? It's just a long the road from me lol, just nip throu Barrhead.

  10. Sorry for the thread hijack Kenny but obviously you'd be invited too :).  Sounds good, I am officially off the week's of Christmas and New year, but unofficially from next week. Just don't tell me boss lol  ;). The Insignia would be ok still a Vauxhall. Where abouts in Glasgow are you Kenny? Be good to see your Cavvy in the flesh.

  11. I am in Newton Mearns, think the Orion I seen a few months back was white but can't quite remember now lol. If you live on the south side you might have seen an old Avenger top hat (blue body white roof) that's me. There seems to be a few members in the Glasgow area, would be good to see if we could arrange a meet over the Christmas hogmany period.

  12. Will keep in mind storming but have to be carefull of funds at the moment, have had to tax two cars this month costing about £125 each and my insurance is due this weekend for four cars :( . So moneys a bit tight, I work for a charity so not the greatest of paying jobs. The offer is very much appreciated and once money situation improves can think of these things. Are they the units advertised on ebay?
