  1. the pics make it look better than it is mate but apart from cosmetics, its really not that bad. big hole where the roof should be though. you need waders to drive in the rain. didn't know whether to buy floor mats or a bilge pump
  2. needs work Matt but the car is whole and driveable. joined the VODC down at Evesham festival last week and it done a 667mile round trip, no problems. can't complain for 500 quid.
  3. how was the Germany run mate?
  4. Think thats me signed up. had to mail my details from my own email so if there are any problems, let me know.
  5. Just read the how to sort out my bumpers thread. thats worth 15 quid alone! ;D
  6. Just goes to show.. you get what you pay for. if i did that with my Khans, they'd be like 50p pieces
  7. set of fox wheels, cut the heads off 24 m6 cap screws, stick them on with some high quality superglue and your sorted! split rim looks for £1.50. i should get a job on blue peter!
  8. Euro, lowered, flat colour, no rubbing strips, bumpers smoothed.....mmmm.... i've just realised! i'm too old for this. lol
  9. its a great base to start with anyway. solid(apart from 1 arch) original and straight. the suns still shining occasionally so will start mucking about with it in the winter. my plan was to fit a red top but to be honest, driving around in it the way it is has been great. ;D couple that with £120 a year insurance and its like having a free car! saved that lowering the mileage on the Shogun. Can't have a Mk2 and not join the club, can i ??? ???
  10. The bottom, flat dish ones would look amazin on a cleaned up standard car.
  11. Beats buying tyres though. the're so expensive these day's. wouldn't it affect the handling a bit? ;D
  12. £1600 quid!! :o I paid less than that for my 22inch Kahn's on my Shogun!! doesn't half bring back some memories seeing them though. proper 80's stuff. makes you want too dig out your Wham Cd's.

  14. I'm in the same boat as yourself mate. Got myself a convertible. mine has a years mot so is a rolling project. Usual back arch needing done and it needs a new roof. apart from that, its not too bad. be great to see yours and mine in a finished state and rescued from the great scrapyard in the sky look forward to seeing pics of the progress. my first thing is fitting a GTE digital dash. flashy lights!! ;D
  15. Nicest old school vauxhall wheels were the Speedline allesios. Courtney used to fit them on their cars. another one was the Revolution RFX. used to have these on an astra GTE.
