Oh and just a small point - although some parts like the engine ad seats are SRi - like, they never actually made an "SRi" from the factory! As for the milage - that is fantastic!!! How long have you owned it?

Aaah, very similar to in Brazil then, where they are still expensive too. We don't realise how lucky we have it! Heck we could export standard 1.6 / 1.8 cars out there and make a profit even today almost!

I think the lights are meant to stay on for a time after the doors have shut. Reason i say this is that my mk3 cavs lights stay lit for a good few minutes after parking and the windows continue to operate for as long as they are lit. I think there is a capacitor there somewhere to allow this to happen, so i wouldnt worry about it, perhaps leave a window open and lean in after about an hour (without opening the door) to see if they have gone out.

Welcome aboard mate, am afriad to tell you they never made an SRi convertible, although that doesnt mean someone hasnt added the bodykit adn a larger engine perhaps? Or are they both 1.8s?

lol, i think there is a more interesting discussion here in that although int his country saloons were percieved to be more exclusive etc.. that the hatch outsold it 3 : 1 on the basis of practicality. So heres the thing, - what were the ratios aborad?!
