  1. a) With no MoT then its worth peanuts (virtuallly scrap value) unfortunately but with 12 months MoT then £1000 is about it in all honesty. It will probably increase in value slightly but a car of this type will never be an investment. c) If it has been off the road for a few years it may well need re-commisioning, tyres, brake fluid etc. A couple of hundred pounds to do it yourself is a fair estimate. d) General running/service parts are readily available. Some more major parts could be a bit of a challenge. e) There are no plans that I am aware to make this car eligible for free road tax. f) As its a petrol car there are no plans for congestion charge exclusion planned for it.

There used to be one nearly opposite bedrock!
  11. No cars will supply a rear seat back. You will need to recover the original seat back, A Calibra rear seat squab can be made to fit.
  12. http://www.donhoods.com can supply a hood and headliner, budget at least £400 though.

As POD says the hood is easy at £250 minimum. That is to do the work yourself. The door could be a bit trickier. If you are thinking of having a younger driver just remember that they are group 11 insurance although you can get it cheaper on a classic policy. The insurance could easily exceed the car value in this case. What I would say is that to restore a poor car is not financially a good idea. They are quite easy to come by even if it means travelling a bit. I would (and did) buy a car that is to all intents and purposes is ready to go. What I would point out is that an £500 car (generally) would possibly be more trouble than it is worth and you would be better off buying a £2000 car with no defects. This would buy you a really nice example. The only proviso with this idea is that you should know what to look for. Try to avoid a Calibre kitted car as these tend to have been abused/messed with or the body kit could hide a can of worms. It really depends on what you want and of course how good you are with mechanical and bodywork. Either way there are many people who would assist you on here.

Restore? RWD? Break? Sell? Either way you need to decide which. Then advertise appropriately. This is not the first time we have seen speculation and will not be the last. Personally I would rather you did what you deemed suitable to you and left it at that.
