if anyones after a rag roof theres a guy near us [car hoodz] who does new roofs he did my ex girlfriends xr3i and it was perfect cost about £250 and that was mates rates as i did some work on his garage so would imagine your looking at about£300.

ive joined and even managed to put a couple of pics of my calibre on there. since the calibre register seems to have vanished from here it could be a good opitunity to find out how many are left on and off the road.

thoght they had stoped giveing producers and now use the power to sieze your car unless the driver can prove the vehicle is insured at the road side ?. thats what hapend to my ex girlfrend when she was takeing her mk2 astra for its mot less than half a mile down the road. 6 points and a £200 fine plus 180 to get the car back. because it had been of the road over winter and we thoght it would be best to get it mot,d before changeing the insurance over from her rover. bad move and an expensive mot before it even got to the garage lol. so you were lucky that they didnt take your car of you unless they knew full well the car was insured but just wanted to waste your time.

I have an orange calibre and every time i go to it i think to myself why did someone do that !. cant wait to get it back to its proper red. personaly i think your cav would look great in silver and anthracite.

Theres car hoodz near me, did some work on there workshop a while ago and saw what they can do and was impresed . they travel the country doing insurance work. might be worth trying them for a quote aswell ?.

yep its the orange one, i will be changeing the coulor back to original when i sort her out. its a shame it wasnt resprayed red as who ever did the work did a realy good job even did the bay and inside the boot and door shuts etc. i just couldnt hanndle the coulor as it is lol.

i know the feeling, i did 560 mile round trip to get my calibre last sunday in my transit recovery truck at 50mph spent about 13 hours driveing since the brakes on my truck decided to sieze on > lots of stops to hammer the caliper. worth it thogh.

was waching road wars last night on sky 3 for those who dont know what it is basicly police camera action anyway they pulled a white mk2 doing 120 down the hard sholder then pulled a red mk2 which had a calibre kit on not sure if it was genuine or not for haveing no lights on in the dark they found a 15 year old girl driveing it!!! obviously i have to admire her good taste in cars but wonder if anyone on here knows the story behind the car i think the program was made around 2001 hopefully the police didnt crush it

cheers for postin them the scrapyard is in marsten northwich cheshire turn down the side of the salt barge pub and the cavs are in the first scrapyard at the end of the track. yeh i would have liked to buy the complete lxi from its owners but i was to late the interior would probabaly clean up well
