It's pretty much as Chris says; When you come to paste you need to have clicked in the reply window( - you will know you have done that as you will have a flashhing cursor to the left of where you clicked) then just right click and go to "paste" or hold CTRL and tap V. (which is quicker than right clicking etc.. if it has worked the text with (IMG) will be at the cursor! I can see me doing a how-to on this shortly
  4. Thanks for the offer Newbody! Never been to a cash and carry, so not aware of cash differences myself - I'm sure we'll get something sorted now. Richie it WILL be sunny! ;D
  5. Unoficially I would pay for one nights camping and bury the volvo at the back of the stand against the back side of the treeline. Although technically all cars could have passes, we use them to show that cars should / should not be on the stand as we simply do not get enough. What days do you want to be down for if you are not bringing your cav? I'm sure Richie will be your best friend forever with those kegs in tow! ;D
  6. Passes are for stand cars only. Some people swap them out with their spouses cars etc to get them in but the main site road goes right by our stand anyway so it's easy to divert. If we had some poles I'd tape the whole thing off this year. The ENTIRE stand this year is for MK2CAV MEMBERS CAVALIERS only. There is normally some space behind the tree line along the back of our stand, but categorically this year - no motorhomes, mercs, omega's, vectras around the tents this year! These are to be strictly away from the tents and beyond the tree line as this made it easier for certain peeps with a cav turbo to come and park up un-noticed! and also segregate people from the main group. We are one!! A quick note on "widening participation". Any shouts of "clique" will be swiftly dealt with, especially coming from those not mixing with others! (Just haven't thought of a good enough alcohol related forfeit yet!) - it's a very playground word and to use appropriate terminology - normally "those that smelt it dealt it.." So please do be helpful, communicative to others you don't know and generally muck in as we have lots planned! We normally have a great big mk2cav.com village of tents where everyone mucks in, and (not) weather permitting we normally have a fantastic time(!) So get involved with your peers, meet new people, try to avoid sitting in a closed little group of people away from everyone else and pitch your tents to be part of the club. With that in mind it is still totally also acceptable to hang around with your good mates you have made from the club too! The BBQ on Saturday will be a great opportunity to get everyone together, but please bear in mind we can not introduce everyone new to everyone else all the time so it pays to be a self starter and introduce yourself! (hint) Complimenting someone's cav is a great conversation starter! Wouldn't have needed to post this, but seeing as last years billing was a flood, this is a gentle reminder to everyone that this is the one big event where we are all together, lets make it a cracking one!
  7. DEADLINE IS 4th of JULY TO PUT YOUR NAME DOWN. Fastest MK2 and anyone else who has mentioned coming etc.. if you don't have your name on the list you can't attend. In other words "..If your names not down..." COSTS: Once at billing we will be requesting £1 - Yes one whole British pound to cover the cost of us mailing your pass out to you. For the BBQ we will kindly accept a donation towards the cost of the food if you are feeling flush. Please note that the club will only be covering some food for paying members!

    Howdy all

Very shiny there mate! Welcome aboard! I'm sure we can help you find the right mk2 in time! If your at billing pop by and say hi at our bash!
  9. Agreed Abo. It's just as good getting to know everyone even if you don't have a mk2 - it also motivates you massively! As for Smithy, is he a member at the mo? if so I'll add. I'd have remembered if he actually posted on here lol.
  10. I'd forgotten you'd said that, guess I take it pesonally that the sites broken. I'll get back to you! Billing have put their prices up for camping to £20 a night - so its oging to hit people.
  11. Announcement & Reminder! 1). First of all EVERYONE needs a specsheet, even if it is only on the dashboard, or we find a way for those without a stand to display on the passenger window once laminated. Please email a few paragraphs to Ivan. Next week we will start colour coding the list to show who has done what etc. 2). The club will be covering the cost of the BBQ this year! WHAT!? You say! Well basically I'm so disappointed (along with the other EO's who feel the same!) about the site still limping along with the engine management light on coughing out acrid black smoke everywhere that we thought we should do something positive about it! So the food on Saturday (well some of it!) is on the club! Yes that does mean you may have more money for Beer / Cider etc.. this year at least!! (Whole Keg's of cider hey!?Richie will be happy!) ;D Please remember to tell us what's happening about your spec sheet so we can update the master list at the top of this. Here are the spec sheets from 2007 that I put together: HERE Ivan and Clara's will be the same but up to date if you send them text etc..
  12. Said the "member"! \hopefully we do it for something more than can be explained here easily!
  13. With the new site coming soon *cough* we will hopefully have an all new members thread / area too. The MK2CAV.COM mugs from cafe press still look good to me, but when things steady out I'll make some new stuff. Membership gets you a sticker and a keyring as well as ability to come to events etc..
  14. Haha we read it! But the lure of peugot 106's in ditches and rows of broken down mk4 astras with blown turbo's was too much!
  15. Yeah, just after I text you we decided to shelter at the pub and dry off! We got stuck in a queue leaving so we were not the only ones soaked through with our tails between our legs! Any more raind and we would have needed a submarine! ;D
  16. Haha! Wouldnt the "lightweights" been people who were not up at 5 am to arrive on time!? ;D
  17. Was thinking slightl earlier, but would consider this also.. What you think Magpie?
  18. Right, welcome to our new annual get together. From here on in we do this event and whatever creative ones like Arschott we can come up with in future, but this will be our defacto BIG show from now on. The event coincides with the VBOA nationals and is held at Billing on the 10,11,12th July 2009 this year. This is a show for members who truly love their cav and is a reunion for all remaining mk2's in the club. All cars should be clean, presentable - and cleaned to a good standard once they arrive on stand. By attending you agree to pitch in to help make thiings easier. For example, take the initiative if you see someone moving onto the stand, or helping us put the banners / gazeebo's up etc.. We will be trying to sort something for Saturday night potentially to get everyone together, but I don't need to tell you to not be strangers and get to know each other it's the one time we are all together! Required Items: BBQ & FOOD: TBC / TBA BANNERS X 2: GAZEEBO: TBA LIGHTS / GENNY: TBA SPEC SHEETS:See below.. SPEC SHEET STANDS: Optional for this year as you see fit. Staff Wanted: Stand Layout: Stand Help: (To help us get the cars where the layout says!) ** Basically, it is unfair to put everything on the club admins, so we do need 2 or 3 people to step forward to take the lead with the stand layout - with help from the admin team - but if we don't get a few volunteers we will not be able to run the event properly. PM me if you have some ideas for what you can do for the club event! STAFF ALLOCATED: Magpie - VBOA Rep, BBQ Grey DJ / - Passes Andy - EO, Media Ivan - Chef! & EO Ivan & Clara - Spec Sheets - TBA Tim - EO, Membership Richie - Layout lead? Johnny - Layout help? prices !!!

Hello Garry, I've sent you a PM about this car already too asking a few more details (colour, condition, trim etc..), but if you want to emaiil me some pics I will host them up here for you to give you a better idea of price, or just PM me or give me a ring. I think you are in the right ballpark for the car Mark, and prices are drifting up slowly.
