  1. good to see its being saved and not scrapped, will be an interesting project to follow as you go along
  2. Welcome to the site Adam, it looks a very good purchase my advise would be run it as it is at the moment then if you feel the need or want to modify it then at least you will know the areas you want to improve, be it performance, handling etc
  3. cant go wrong with a cav with an XE, and agree on the LX interior, really nice seats

    The long term answer is one you have already come to, learning to weld, I have looked at a course down here to learn as always a handy skill to have especially with mk2 ownership
  6. Get it all done, drive it for a few months and see how you feel, if the enjoyment isn't there then you know it's the time to sell
