Ive seen the 3.0 v6 engine put into a mk2 astra so if it fits in that then it will deffo fit into a cav Thets not saying its easy like just possible. As for banding the wheels i know a lot of rally boys used to do it but they weren't worried about balancing. This was a big problem for anyone wanting to use them on the road. Still its been a while since ive been on the mini scene so maybe things have changed

Finding a good cdi could be hard, Personally id look at an sri or something along that line 130s are going for a lot more money when there isnt that huge a difference really As for mini electrics i ended up replacing the whole loom as i got sick of tracing endless problems ;D

Do you find you get slaped alot at the weekend Karol ;D Welcome to the site lou Id say if your questioning weather you can do the head gasket or not then dont. Its not worth spending time and money tring if your not sure if you can, there is a bit of work in it If you do try it make sure you get the head skimmed as you'd be wasting your time otherwise
