put a red top in and come and give me a race on the A38  >:D

serious tho its your car so do what suits you if you want to race the idots in plymouth (well worth it !!) or do you want something thats cheap to run at the end of the day !!

Suggest if it has not got it you get some proper security on it. They are stupidly easy to nick and the last thing you will want once it is sorted is for it to disappear.

living in plymouth i bet your high on car security !! but if not get on it every time i am in plymouth i get pulled over by the old bill due to the age of car (never to do with my driving honset ) as they targeted there my mate used to get it too in her mk2 astra

By the way, as well as joining this Club  ;D hint,

yes mate join the club !! me and keir live in buckfastleigh so your have fellow members not far away !

I might have a head off a 1300 in the shed, not sure of condition (or use to you).  Mind you I have a full 1600 block next to the shed, it would need a full rebuild (as I'm sure it will have seized by now), and has no ancillaries but you can have it if you want it

Current mk2 stock: 4 LXs: white c20xe, blue & red std, blue LX parts car, blue GLi, Richies Saabilier & monaro VXR

Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV daily (joyous planet saver.....well carbon offset for the ro)

nice motor mate. i love retro cavs.  if i were you id rebuild the 1.3 over a weekend, possibly get a spare 1.3 head and rebuild and prepare it ready for the job.  you might be supprised once you have given the top end an overhaul that the little 1.3 has a new lease of life.  it gives you time to source a new bigger motor if you decide to do a conversion on it.

i have stuck with the 1.6 in my SR and i have grown to love it. now i wont swap it for the world.  i carried out a full rebuild with a few goodies thrown in and now the cav is just excellent to drive.

feel free to pm me if you need any advice with your car
