Some 7 years ago a member of my family offered to sell me his (Carmine Red) MK2 Cavalier estate, which he had owned from new and which had some 24,000 genuine miles on the clock. Another attraction was its towbar. The princely sum of £250 changed hands. I had at least one good year left in the Volvo I was then running so I SORNed the Cavalier. Parking it on my drive for a year wrecked the tyres! I owned a Cavalier saloon before the Volvo, so I knew more or less what to expect of the estate. My brother had operated as a freelance mechanic, having previously worked for local dealers, etc. and he then did any necessary work on my cars. When he retired he gave me various Ca…

Hi to all, I am a new member but not new to cavaliers. Now looking through past history my cavalier is very well known to some of you. I would like to point out that I will not be selling this car on and will keep this car forever. Im a Serious enthusiastic. Feel this car has been neglected from previous owners buying then selling for profit. Not me I truly love this very special car and am now preparing to restore her and can't wait to bring her a long to meets and keep her as a true member of this club. My name is Ricky and I will put up some photos shortly.

Hi guys My names Dave and i'm from Hampshire. I currently drive a 2006 Vectra C and have been looking for a MK2 cabriolet to mess around with. No such luck yet as all the ones i've seen online are too far away, or require too much work My first ever car was a China Blue 1.3L Saloon on a Y. Recently been feeling nostalgic and always wanted a cabriolet hence my reason for joining this fine looking club and hopefully owning a MK2 (again) in the not too distant future. ;D Dave

WRITTEN THE SCOOBY OFF YESTURDAY DOING ALL OF 6-7MPH i was going down a snowy lane that had tyre tracks up and down and had seen cars going down earlier in the day but the snow had turned to ice and the rest is history. the ABS dosnt work under 5mph and as i was going around a corner i could feel the car under steering quite badly and knew we were sliding, then the abs came in so now i know we are speeding up and doing at least 5mph, pedal by now is going mad but the car is still speeding up on the ice downhill heading very slowly at a cornish granite wall, bang in goes the drivers side front corner, boom across the road we go like a pin ball, crunch, bang goes the passe…
