Hi, Im Brad and I live on the South Coast of N.S.W (AUS), I bought my Country Dealer Team JB Camira in 2004, from its second private owner, I've been buying parts for its restoration ever since. The Country Dealer Team was a small team who competed primarily in Gemini (Chevette) saloon cars, and began building Camira's as replacements, but went bust before any camira race cars were built, my car is build number 001. When I found that the team name had been deregistered I registered it for myself. My racer to be was an Ebay purchase from a little old lady from outback N.S.W. I bought this car to use its interior in the CDT car. Two weeks after I got it home I entered i…

Hello guys! How are you? It has been a long time since my last visit here, I know and I'm sorry. Studies and work the reason. I'm George from Greece, to remind you a little bit. During this time I got a c20ne from a Calibra installed to my '82 4d Ascona, I like it a lot. It is also a liitle bit lowered, and got some Astra GSi wheels. Some photos: http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=2104353607871&l=5ebfac4122 http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=2104353047857&l=b247373319 http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=2839087775766&l=4c159a68f5 I currently use the standard exhaust system, so I would like to know the diameter the pipes should have. I'm thinking o…

Hi folks I've just joined and here is my 1987 1.6L hatch, recently bought on ebay and collected on 21st May: [img width=800 height=597]http://i1201.photobucket.com/albums/bb341/owain71/IMG_0071.jpg It replaced a 2012 Audi A5 Cabriolet as I left the company where it was my company car This is now my daily driver and it joins another two '80s classics that I own (an ultra-rare 1981 Subaru pick-up and a 1982 Daihatsu F20 "jeep") The Cav's done 37k from new, one lady owner, full history, every service done by the Vauxhall dealer that supplied it. It had been SORN'd for 4 years - I drove it from Taunton to Bicester with just one stop for a cuppa and it didn't miss a beat…

Hi fellas , after 23 years my engine showed some slight signals of being worn out. I didn`t give a second thought : I had it rebuilt. New pistons and rings , the chankshaft was grinded , new clutch , new oil pump etc. Apart from the engine , I`ve made some changes : LED`s on dashboard icons ; New tinting on the windows ; Alarm system with door locking by remote control; Trunk opened by alarm`s remote control ; Presence sensor ; GPS with digital TV , bluetooth , etc. ; Rear-view camera ; [img width=800 height=600]http://i1229.photobucket.com/albums/ee463/gabri_hawk/DSC01641.jpg [img width=800 height=600]http://i1229.photobucket.com/albums/ee463/gabri_hawk/DSC01632.jp…

Hello Although I've been a member of the site for ages and some of you may remember me from Billing a couple of years ago I thought I would reintroduce myself now that I finally own a mk2. Just bought a 86 1.8 mk2 Cabrio; [img width=800 height=493]http://a8.sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-ash3/525803_10150819436862773_513282772_9507900_1721589453_n.jpg Going to get some better pictures once I have picked the car up and given it a good detail. Hopefully will catch a few of you this summer!

Hello everyone, my name is James McGrath, I live in Robertsbridge in East Sussex and am currently studying History at Canterbury Christ Church University and may I say what a pleasure it is to see so many Mk2 Cavaliers on the site. I've always been a bit of a Cavalier fan; I grew up with both the MK2 and the MK3. A bit of History: My Father purchased the Family’s first Cavalier in 1986. It was a 1983 A-reg hatchback L 1.3 in polar white. It was bought as a ex fleet car from Peabody housing association. This became my mother’s car and served for many years. After moving house in September 1996 My father, (after finally passing his driving test!) then bought a 1993 faceli…

Hi all new to the forum and new to vauxhalls full stop! So anyways I've got my hands on a 1986 vauxhall cavalier 1.6 ohv Antibes in red(faded!) it's abit of a pearl in my eyes its covered 40,000 miles from new hardly any rust as to speak off the interior is mint hardly sat in!!! Full red carpets and trim seats all original down to the radio. I couldn't believe the mileage so I checked the receipts that came with it and every mot and certificate from 1989 and all the owner books etc!!!! One happy bunny for £150!!! Going to restore this well the little it needs to a newish standard and hope to be at some shows this year!!!

Hi All Hope this is the right way and place to introduce myself and then quickly get to the point of my reason for joining your forum. I used to own a Mk2 Cavalier saloon, was the last car I *really* worked on, great car which did me/family well, but when it finally got too much to keep going, I regret to say I scrapped it (sorry!) in about 1994. One of the last things I did to it was to fit a Dellorto carburetter, which made a great improvement in performance, especially fuel economy, but in the end it had little use. Point is I saved the carburetter and it has been in my garage ever since. Since it seems such a shame for it not to be used, what I'd like to ask is there …
