Hi, Im Mick and live just north of Lincoln. I have just bought an SRi Hatch and collect it tomorrow (its the one for sale in Merseyside in the For sale section). This is the 5th Mk2 I have had over the years. Started with a China Blue 1600L Hatch DNG 907Y. Then a Carmine red 1600L Hatch B590 SKF (I think), Mexico red 1800 SRi Hatch D366 WTV and a 1600 LD Saloon E401 RBE....sad I can remember so much from memory I expect all the previous ones are dead by now :'( I have been looking on and off for a while but the prices of usable ones has kept climbing and with family and many other projects had meant I couldnt get one. A good mate of mine has LX saloon about 5 miles …

Hi Ages ago I sold a Mk2 and took off the Hella twin lamped grill. Now it just sits in box. Any takers please to e mail me at rod.bevan@btinternet.com and I will send you pictures and sort out a price. It will cost about £10 to post or you can collect from Solihull, West Midlands. Don't want to keep any longer and don't want to throw away. Updated Full fitting instructions and also found lamp for under bumper fog lamps. Rod Bevan

Hey buddies, it`s such a pleasure to be among you. This is my Monza , It`s got nothing special except for its good general conditions and its smooth driving in spite of its age. It`s an 88 SL/E. I`m used to traveling long distances with "him" it has never let me down though. It`s sad that some interior parts are becoming scarce here in Brazil. Yet ,if you`re looking for a cheap , reliable and comfortable car ,this is the ONE. Hi all i have joined your forum to share and get help restoring a Mk2 Vauxhall Cavalier SRi that was imported to Australia and is now in my hands. In the pic the previous owner put a Ascona Grill on it. [img width=640 height=480]http://thor.pointclark.net/Ascona_rear.jpg I have had plenty of experience with these cars having rallied a Holden Camira (Vauxhall Cavalier) JE Sedan for years that was build with parts from Harry Hockly and others. After I finished with that I reshelled the car into a Mk2 Astra building a replica Rally Opel Kadett GSi complete with C20XE and at the moment is producing 155HP @ wheels. I only really came back to look at Cavhoppers advert for my old Sri, and no offence to travis, i'm a little miffed that he wasn't able to give it the TLC it needed. I've weighed up the pro's and con's of buying it back but I can't justify it. I'm living out of a suit case 4 nights a week in Derby at present on a contract with Rolls Royce that finishes in december, and weekends are the only time I get to see my wife and kids, and the oldest is soon to fly the nest and leave for university, and I'm barely able to keep up with the maintenance on the 3 cars I've got Anyways up, I trust you all are well.

Hi my name is Caroline from Stoke - On - Trent. I own a red 1988 mark 2 Cavalier LX called 'Tiger Lily'. I am the second owner from new and have had her since September 2002. The only work she has had done has been over the last year, new wheel arches and wings as the common rust problem sunk in. A few minor mechanical issues but that is it. She is my only car and looks after me every day. I have been to a few car shows in my area with the car and she always gets plenty of attention. I have been looking into joining a club with like minded people who share an interest in cavaliers. Classic cars are a part of my family and at 14 I was a member of the Mg club as my Dad ha…

Hi all, I joined the site out of curiosity. When I was 18 in 1988 I had an SRi130, it was about a year old when I got it (I was very lucky when I was a kid). The reg no was E52 YHR. I would love to know if she is still alive. I drove it very hard all of the time, I had a mechanic, a petrol account and a tyre account. The best tyres I found for the car where yokahama A509`s they left black lines round corners but only got around 4000 miles to a set (because of the way I drove her). I had a stainless straight through exhaust made for her, you could heear her from 1/2 a mile. I once had her off the clock going down the motorway to torquay, we think it was just over 150 mph, …
