Hey, it's stopped raining, the sun's shining (briefly) and I can finally, after a couple of months, get some photos of B407BMC: Four-speed Base model (opposite end of the model spectrum to most people on this board), first registered in November 1984 (1985 model according to the VIN plate). Appears to be a genuine 33,700 miles, two previous owners, MOT'd, SORN'd since 2008 but drives well and getting better as things loosen up (the heater blower has stopped squeaking for example). Probably needs a service as the last one documented was in 2005 - the service book doesn't list a 29-year service so I'm not sure. I blame howmanyleft.com for this. Marian's got a 1995 Mk III …

Hi everyone. I'm obviously new to this site. I've always loved the old Mark 2 Cavalier. Unfortunately I can't afford insurance for a car at the moment, being 18 years old... Here's a picture of a Cavalier I spotted a while ago, if anyone's interested. It's a late model, and currently (well 2 months ago) parked up outside Langfords Scrapyard near Shaftesbury, Dorset. It appears to be for sale, but there's no DVLA record... F667UFX is the plate. I'm sure if no one purchases it, it may end up being scrapped.

Hi guys. Been a member here for a few years but have never posted. My first love is classic Fiats (Mirafioris mainly) but having had 2 Mk 2 Cavs and the equivalent Ascona Luxus all in a row.....All red 1600s and back the early 80s, I've always had a longing to get another. I had a Mk 3 as a company car in 1990 (1400 basic) which was great at the time but I really liked the Mk 2s. I've been trawling the Internet looking for the right car to buy for some time now. It's got to be a series 3, one of the better specc'd models eg LX and up, totally original, preferably in mint condition and low miles. Not too concerned with price for the right car. Ideal would be a SRi 130....…

I am now the new owner of E276 EAN (white cabby on ebay) and will be collecting her in the first week of July. This car is in really good nick with no rot at all and would not take a lot of effort to bring back to mint condition. As soon as I get her back home I will posting a few pics up and now I will be able to come to events with a MK2CAV ;D Sadly though I have decided to throw in the towel on the red cabby as my sprayer has taken a year to bring her up to spec!!!! (Long story,Originally told 4weeks to complete!!! >) and I have to say the car is in peices and is still rotten > But she will live on as spares keeping my white cabby on the road.
