Not sure who I know from here....maybe some of you. Post usually on MIG and Cavweb. Anyway, I don't drive a MK2 Cavy, but I'm gradually building one with my best mate who owns this beast. Car was boogo when he got given it. Over the 2 years James and myself transformed from a 1.6L to this. We got a Calibre that was in a right state and used it for spares. Tragic you might say, but this A reg was in far better condtion. We fitted all the kit etc. Wheels were bought for peanuts. We got an accident damaged SRi130 and put the engine into his MK2. That was then. We're gonna fit an LET + F28 during the summer. Then it's due for a blow over and should be a right cracker when…

Hullo All! Ok I'm not really a new user but have been using the site for years and posting the odd forum. However, I just subscribed to the club and taken out a membership! I have recently finished a 3 year stint at university and all that time have wanted to do up my cavalier. Now I have the time to do it and now have a job so can afford to, so I thought it was time to sign up. The site really has come on over the year and I have every faith in it. I have a 1986 Cavalier Antibes which I recently started working on, so will be posting pics of my progress and asking loads of questions! ;D All the best folks, join up now! Cheers Rob8ie.

Sadly at present i dont own a mk2 cav Ok, a brief history: D-plate sri 1.8 hatch E-plate sri 2.0 hatch E-plate sri 130 saloon F-plate sri 130 hatch...mint owing to stupidity and a change of job i sold my 130,biggest mistake ever. Recently found an 1-owner! e-plate 130 hatch owned by a lady who after seeing her in sainsburys carpark and explaining im a mk2 cav enthusiast, has given me first refusal on her pride and joy. Problem: not selling till the end of the year, could do with some advice here everybody,do i sit it out and wait or search elsewhere because i dont want to wait that long! :?

Looking for pics of an 84 Sri hatch

Hi, Now I am living over in the US I was looking for a picture of an 84 SRi hatchback, preferable in red to show my friends. How I loved that car when I was a young un. A real muscle car with no power steering, I remember how much my arms hurt parking the bugger! I think 84 was the year, it was an A reg. Does anyone have any good pics ? cheers Dan

Wanted to say hi. So I did. Oh yeah, I love Mk2 Cavaliers, had 2 1600's, 3 SRi 1800's, a CDi 1800, an SRi 2.0 and a GLSi 2.0 (Abused every day for 3 years, what a car). Don't have one at the moment, my last one (a very tidy original A-reg SRi hatch in gold with a late 2.0 in it) got stolen and I haven't had the heart to do another one. :'( It didn't even run at the time ??? I've been Mk2-less for nearly 2 years now, and I want another one. There's no rush 'cos I got a BMW 528i (I like my old-skool rides) which is due some money and attention, but if I see the right Cav who knows? There's no harm in looking, and owning more than one rusty old car has never bothered me i…
