hey there, im new to this site! im dave, im a student, who's really into cavaliers. i currently own a cav 2.0 gli, mk3, in haze blue met, i know its not a mk2, but a mk2 was too old school for me to turn up at college in lol. still, im looking for a project. im after : mk2 cav sri, early as poss, hatch or saloon or cav gsi2000 16v, pref in silver, but other colours considered or monza mk2, gse or something, pref manual all cars dont need mot/tax, pref running, but gsi cav can come with no lump or with one is a bonus lol. cars need to be as close to bedfordshire as poss, and cheap as chips lol. havent got a huge budget tbh, id prefer a cav gsi, but i would s…

Hi everyone i'm new to this site, i've always wanted a mk2 cav & WILL get one, i am also a memeber of astra-mk2, have had loads of them & am currently restoring my sxi, i was reading Total Vauxhall & was quite impressed with the cars yous took for the rolling road shoot out, & i have to admit that Stuart Hird's cav looks fantastic, love the colour/s (what is it) & with the calibre front bumper, i hope dougie has got his cav back to good health again aswel (liking the turbo alloy's by the way, got them on my astra) i'm after a late spec sri or sri 130 hatch but not untill funds allow due to the extensive restoration on the astra.

Hi, I love these type of forums - I used to have an old Sierra and belonged to a great forum for them and they were invaluable so im hoping this place is the same - it would also be nice to meet some people who like old cars like me! Those who cannot resist that forlorn motor poking out from round a dark corner! I have just bought a 1986 Cavalier 1.6 L in a light blue metallic colour with just 54,000 miles and heaps of service history for £125 and it has an MOT till september. I have no idea what the going rate is for these cars but to be honest, when you are talking so little money anyway, who cares if I paid £20 of the odds! It was owned by an old man from when it was …

Discovered this site the other day when talking about old cars on another forum. I used to have a calibre E735 YHC and was a member of the register back then. Must have sold it back in 98. Was my pride and joy at 18, spent all my hard earned cash on it, fitting the 16V along with a load of other stuff! Absolutly imaculate! Is it still about? how many are there now, not seen a real one since I sold mine!! Cool site 8) Andy

Suppose I'd better say Hi. Proud to say I've owned my Mk2 Cav CDi for half my life so it's sort of grew up with me. As we've both aged, both of our body work has fallen into disrepair but at 192k it's just about run in. The Cav has been sitting in my garage for the last 3 years but over the last 6 months has been fired up to get it back on the road again and it's now swapped places with my other motor to become my daily driver for the time being (mainly due to the grin factor.) The big plan is to do a Nurburgring trip this year along with a few of my mates but first off is a few track day sessions for a shake down. First track day is next Friday week on March 3rd at …

Hi all, my name's Andy. Nice to see this site devoted to the MK2 cav. Just wanted to pop in, have a look around and see if I could see any nice 130 saloons! I'm starting to get a bit fond of these cars again having grown up around them. If I was to get a MK2 it would have to be a saloon 2 litre inj, which I believe is only found in the 130 and are rare as hen's teeth, if i'm wrong please let me know! My current car is: MK3 2 litre Li, the best things about it are the mile eating capability and the bomb proof engine (touch wood), which still leaves 320i's eating dust, even after 160,000MLS. It's pretty standard apart from GSI wheels, steering wheel and power steering r…

hi my names chris, ive recently aquired a mk2 cav 1.6 gl hatch, needs some love and attention, currently off the road, but i plan to get it back to new and it will roll the black stuff once more. i needs a couple of things im not sure were i can obtain from, like the front drivers side plastic trim, thats missing at the moment adn also a rear valance, as this one is in a right state and some previous owner thought they would be clever and screw a new sheet of metals across and hand paint it the same colour os the car. looks a right state, so id like to replace that too. what would be really use ful is if any one has got a manual for the 88 mk 2 cav hatch, they dont nee…
