What shall I do with my 30k mile CDi

Hi All I have a drive full of Cavaliers including 4 Mk2s. One of them is a Mk2 CDi auto 87E with a genuine 31k miles on it. I bought it on ebay in May in a pretty cruddy state. It had spent 2 years without moving on a drive under a hedge in N. London. It was bought new by a 70 year old guy, who I think never drove it outside NW London or fast (no stone marks on screen/headlight glass or paint). Fully serviced with flush/oil/filter air! and oil every year, plugs every 2 years! and other parts as needed (I have the bills). Back seat looks unsat in and the velour is unmarked, boot carpet is marked. Wheels have lost their lacquer. I don't think it has been on many salty ro…

Greetings to all! Im 19 years old from Russia. First I would like will apologize for my very bad English, I try to teach it better Because of it I use the program the translator so do not judge too strictly My car Opel Ascona C 82 years of release. When I have bought it, it was not on the move. I and my father have repaired it. The engine has been touched and repaired completely, and almost all details of the car are touched. The body is painted anew and personally (now I have experience of painting) because before the car looked very terribly It is my first car and I am very happy with it. I even became a member of the Russian club of fans Opel Ascona, and now have s…

Hi, I’m Stu or known on here as 83Sri, I have been checking this excellent site for a while now so thought best that I introduce myself. I’m 30 years young now but have loved Mk2 Cavaliers since I was 17. I first bought a Cavalier when I was 17 and it was an A-registered Henna red 1.6L saloon and it was totally knackered, I bought this as I remember my dad test driving a 1.6 Cavalier some years before and I remember thinking how fast it seemed. I kept this for a couple of months before buying a 83 (NFE456Y) Cavalier sri saloon in aqua-marine blue metallic, I totally loved this car, I fitted a full janspeed exhaust including manifold and it sounded gorgeous, I don’t know w…

Hey, just thought i'd say hello to all. I did have a mint mk2 saloon 1.6L in dark red, but i was only 18 and still trying to show off in a car park- resulting in a shortened rear end courtesy of a re-enforced street lamp. Regret that to this day, and one day i WILL have another! Preferably an original Calibre, but if not a replica will do.

Hi im new here, im only 16 i own a rover mini that im restoring but im looking to get a cavalier Mk2 of some sort to keep locked up ready for when im bored of the mini. Im a vauxhall fanatic when i was knee high i had to stop by any vauxhall dealer or my local plant (Luton) just to look at cars or nick a few brochures lol. Everyone in my close family have atleast owned 2 or more Mk2's each, shame they didn't keep em :-[ ,try and find a few pics. Ill look into becoming a fully fledged member once i get one. Curtis

Been looking at the new vectra sri 1.9 or 2.2. Keeping the old MK2 Cav for special days. Anyone got one or knows how good they are compared to the mondeo (sorry) but it is a really good car shame it's a ford. Info and views would be welcome

Hello to Everyone. Have just registered with the club, and am impressed with the site. I didn't realise the MK2 Cav, had so many ardent fans... For my sins, I have just bought a 1983 REED GREEN MK2, that was advertised on a Classic Car website, as well as this site. The seller didn't want it to go to that [glow=red,2,300]Great Graveyard in the Sky[/glow], and as I wanted an "everyday useable practical classic" that I could have a bash at restoring, the car suited my needs. I have never welded or restored a car in the past, but it is a project I am looking forwards to..... ;D I have driven Cavaliers before, but only as an onerous "Repmobile". I have never had one as a…

The lure of the mk2 cav

Hi, My names Andy, im guessing im not the oldest guy here being ‘only’ 34 but looking at the mag feature of my old cav you have in the gallery makes me feel it. Im not a stranger to Mk2 Cavs and have owned a few, but not for a good 6 or 7 years now. I followed the graduation to the vectra B and am now on my 2nd Vectra C. Im mostly seen on Vectra-c.com and frequent detailing world a little as im really into ‘proper’ detailing. I used to run a region of the old and now defunct Vauxhall performance car club, where we had many good laughs. Dazzy130 was one of our crowd and he was definetly the mk2 King even then lol. Im after a cheap second car and rather than just pick up …
