Hi there everyone. I have litterally just found this site and just had to join. I thought I'd just introduce myself and my car, so excuse me if I get long winded...but I adore this car. I'm 25 and I live all the way down here on the Isle of Wight...And this Cavalier is probably my oldest friend. We've had this car since 1982 when it was brand new and was a company car when my Dad worked for what was then the "Town and Country" building society. Build 1982, colour is "Antique gold". I simply grew up with this car. Such was the fondness my family had for it that, for some reason, it was always refered to by its reg number "849" as if it was its name. We bought the car …

Hi! Just registered as a user afer getting my 3rd Cav Mk2 - a 1986 1.6L Saloon, 55,000 miles on the clock, uncracked dash and lovely (?) blue interior of various hues. My first car was a 1.3 boggo model, which was soon usurped by a 1.8 CDi which died on me - after having 10 cars in between I'm now back in a cav. On average I change my cars every 7.3 months, so I'll probably be on here for a little while as I've only just bought the Corporal (C566 ORP). A few years back I was a member of ClubCento, the Cinquecento and Seicento owners club, and enjoyed the runs and shows (I even edited the club mag for a month before the editor of Auto Italia took over), so I may well co…

Hi all, im a newbie on here. I dont own a Cav at the mo, but am looking out for one. I did have a black 1985 Cav SRi Saloon from 1989 to 2001. Mechanically it was a sound car with oil changes every 3000, and anyhting else that needed doing, got done. I tried to keep it as standard as poss, but stretched to fitting a complete Janspeed Exhaust and an digital dash out of an Astra GTE. Unfortunately I neglected the rust and only dealt with it if it affected the looks. So beneath the pretty exterior was a rotting shell. In the end decided to cut my ties and I reluctantly sold it for £300. Really do miss it. Now Im on the lookout for a mk2 cav sri, this time hopefully with rust…

Hi, Im Casper (John) and I think your site is great. Always thought the nick was a bit weird but its stuck with me. I am addicted to Irn-bru and cars (Mainly mk2 cavs but would like to add a mk1 escort at some point) I have 2 mk2 cavs an early hatch and a late saloon (and 2 other unimportant cars). Long may MK2CAV live. John
