85 mk 2 sri 1.8 heater blower

any help or ideas to fix heater blower no air coming out at all and with the nice wet weather in ireland i need to be able to see out the steamed up windows thanks mark :-[

does the fan motor work? is it seized or has it failed ?. then could be the fan switch or lastly have you checked the fuse pos 9 20 amp. if the fan has failed epc lists the fan motor for the nova as identical (ie has same part number)

Very occasionally the fuse box literally melts and it is damaged around the fuse

Mine has done that but works most of the time, i will get an auto electrician to replace the box when i find my spare. I cannot be bothered with what looks like a lot of hastle.

had to replacethe motor in my cabby (when i had it) coz it had seized & in my green cavvy coz it got noisy

hi guys the motor doesnt seem to be seized the fuse looks to be ok and i dont really want to go to auto spark as they are all complete rip off merchants in belfast. 1 said £120 on the phone before even seeing the car.

I Had the same problem with my hatchback and it turned out to be the green resistor at the side of the motor i moddifed a corsa one and it worked fine till i got a whole new motor off matt-o-sri Thanks again matt. If u want ive still got the moddified part if u want a pic of it

its ok cheers i got the fan motor working had to turn it manualy to get it started with some wd40 it has since stopped melting the fusebox as one of the guys mentioned in an earlier post. well at least i know its the motor. switch and everthing else seems to be fine i guess its old age and because the car was parked up not being used for a long time. thanks a million for your help i will try and source a replacement from a nova..
