im not a big fan either but i think that they will suit my hearing aid beige cav more than modern wheels, if it was black or red then maybe modern wheels would suit it more.

the wheels are £425 on ebay and i think as ive got porsche wheels now then the next step up would be Ferrari ;D

i want an old skool wheel, flat not rounded looking, deep dish dont suit it as its fwd not rwd.

Banded steels would look nice for a while then id be bored with them plus ive herd that they are illegal

was looking at the omega wheels but they still look a bit modern to me.

i also like wolfrace Voodoo but a bit modern looking.

plus have you ever seen Ferrari wheels on anything else?

i was also looking at shark AMG wheels but toooooo modern, nice wheels though

Borbet A are a lovley wheel but the dish wouldnt suit the fwd cav

Azev A are nice but a bit modern looking

i like the Ferrari wheels as they have a dish, but not to big, they are shiny but not to much (rim only), are squarish looking to suit the saloon lines and are totaly different.

i also like the tsw imola and have a set in 4x100 but im going 5 stud.

duno really any other ideas??

im going to pick the Ferrari wheels up at 2pm today, but if when i get there they dont look great then i wont get them and the search will continue :-\

just had a look at the gsi wheels

na i dont them, bit modern and not my cup of tea

i never thought it would be this hard to get wheels i like on the beige cav.  >:( >:(

im looking at andys wheels he had refurbished but i think they are a little to modern for the cav

cav turbo rims look ok but are a bit 'the norm' nowdays

lotus carlton wheels would look fantastic but wouldnt fit unless major cutting was involved (sod that)

also i like ATS wheels but can only get them in 15" and i will need 16" due to the brakes

yea your right but i think that flat face wheels look crap on rwd cars and deep dish wheels look crap on fwd cars.

but thats me

i really like the 8x13 mini wheels but would never have them on a cav even if they were 16" but they look great even though its a fwd car

its odd how i see this i know but my mate had voodoos on a manta and they looked shite, i put them on an astra and they looked a lot better.

proberly goes back to my mk1 and mk2 escort days, then fiestas hit the seen and had flatter looking wheels.

so ive looked at flat fwd and dish rwd

Davedave i mean this in the politest possible way, but how the hell can you decide on a style of wheel for a car by wether its RWD or FWD?

Thats one of the oddest statements i have ever come across, so using your rule mk2 Golf Gti's look sh*t with deep dish wheels? someone should tell the VW clubs as they are all obviously wrong  :P

yes you are 100% correct ;D

JOKE

i say imo deep dish are for rwd mainly because i dont know of any fwd cars that come from the factory with deep dish wheels OLD OR MODERN CARS however there are lots of rwd & fwd cars that come with flat dish wheels

i think a deep dish wheel looks stunning on a fwd car ie mx5, escort mk2, mercs, bmw 3, 5, 6,7 series, and so on and so forth however only a few fwd cars look nice on deep dish rims

golfs, polos well most vw's to be fair and yes paul your cav looks nice on the deep dish you have as its a nicer colour for them than mine and also its a hatch back thus a bit smoother lines than the saloon i have

its just my opinon and of course its not everybodys idea if it was then we would all have the same name

they look nice on that yea but its black mines a horrible beige colour

i had a green hatchback with deep dish RH rims with the centers in black, and it looked right but the green didnt!

im finding it difficult to get any wheels that will suit the beige saloon lines.

those ferrari wheels where 16" front and 17" rear so i didnt get them

BUT he has got some borbet A and yes they are deep dish but they are square and only a 7.5 x 16 so might look fine against the beige cav

Bold straight lines and small squaarish shapes seem to work best.

Some old school rims work well on early cars like stealths etc.. but only sometimes.

With 18s you do run the risk of creating a car you can't drive freely as with smaller wheels too. They will corner well, but you won't like it on "average roads"  ;D
