Hi, registered just to have a nose around the forum. Looked at the calibre register, I can tell you that E400 AVM is still alive. My mate bought it about 4 years ago from an old bloke in Salisbury, it was dead stock when he got it and was pretty shagged, then someone hit one of the rear doors in a car park, the damage was repaired and it also had a couple of floorpans, inner and outer sills and some arch work and repsrayed. It did have an XE, which was changed for an LET, this engine was just sold and hes building another for it, its also going to have another respray as the first one faded very quickly [smiley=rolleyes.gif]. So if you want to update the listing go ahea…

Well I've been coming here since June 2003 and I thought I'd say Hi. Hi, My name's mark and I live in a posh bit of Liverpool, where mk2 cavaliers are very rare, most people chosing mondeo 1.8 Lx's or BMW X5's (depnding on thier social standing) I used to have a mk2 cavalier and but I sold it to a farmer in Settle. But luckily I came here and was encouraged to buy a nice SRi saloon. I hope to attend a few events next year. Regards POD

Hi everyone, I have been looking at the site and the forum for some time now and have just sent off my paypal payment to join fully. I live in East Sussex and have had various mk2's over the years, plus countless other models of the Vauxhall family. I currently run a modded cabby mk2, very low, 17's etc, 1.8 with K&N, exhaust etc, not as mad as some on here. Plus I also run a 2001 Astra Coupe 2.2, modded again with 17's, lowered, stainless Remus system, Courtenay filter. My wife has an 03 Astra estate, standard aprt from 16" Irmscher rims and I also own a 2004 Vivaro Sportive van, alloys air con etc. So as you can see I am well into my Vauxhalls !!!! Have been to…

Just came across this web site whilst looking for pictures of Mk2 Sri. I owned a Y reg Aqua marine Blue hatch from 1990 to 1995 one of the best cars I have owned and took a hell of abuse. It was very relabile with 70k on the clock when I bought it and sold with 195k, didnt give me any problems until it had done 150k. Sorry I sold it as you dont see many early ones about now. I did think keeping it at the time and restoring it but I didnt have the space.I wont make the same mistake with my current car (Pug 306Gti6) which is even rarer then the Cav. Sure it has been scrapped but if anyone knows of it the Reg was LUS929Y. Bruce

I now have a Mk3 1.8, had it now for over 3 years. I Also have my late Grandfathers 1.6L Diesel saloon. Not the fastest car in the world but has character! It has also pulled my Mk3 and also my mates old VW Golf estate. It has the grill with the diriving lights in it, and a few other strange fuel heater mods my Grandfather added. hiya to everyone in cav land!, my story is that i've always wanted a 130 hatch and now i've got one in met blue and its got c/l e/m and pas which should be useful if i ever manage to m.o.t it !, its a completely standard example with 4 perv owners no history(lost?),130k and even stndard radio casette, it needs alittle bit of welding underneath which shouldn't take to long and one arch which when the funds allow will get done properly and my main aim is to get it as close to factory as poss as soon as i can take some pics i'll get em on, i've had the mount points check and they are spot on, any advice on what else to check would be greatly appreciated! ;D thanks and kee…

This site has provided me with good value over the last few months - thanks for that. When I joined up had a lot of trouble getting myself organised - but with help of Messrs Daz & Andy all was sorted more thanks - still struggle to find my way round - especially if the pub is closed and only Super T in the fridge. To Mk2 Cavs - drove a C reg powder blue 1.6L to 108000 from straight out the box in just about 3 years - lease car handed back - pretty battered after many trips to Europe from the southern tip of Italy to above the artic circle in Finland. Driver’s seat was well worn and rust by the fuel cap Reason came back to Mk2's - always liked them - quit my job a…

Hello to French Ascona C 1.6 D owner

Well we were stopped taking arty photo's with a single use camera of our children next to a field of sunflowers. Somewhere between the Villages of St Mathurin sur Loire and Maze (with an accent) about 3 km from the Loire. You went past us in a light blue 4 door early Opel Ascona C 1.6 D (with dents) and missing a passenger side rubbing strip (drivers side in UK). I was the manic looking bloke next to the purple 307 Hire car, trying to rip said camera from my wife in order to take a photo as you went past. If you ever log on here (and you will if you got my VIBES) HELLO !!!

Evening ladies and gents! 8) Just popped over from Cavweb/Vauxhall Owners Network to offer some of you the chance to show your car at Trax this year as I know your not showing as a club this time round. We have about 15 stand passes spare, so if you do want to come it's strictly first come first served. http://www.cavweb-forums.co.uk/showthread.php?t=56817 if you fancy showing off your pride of joy on the 4th I'll be on here a bit too now as I spend more time than I planned on doing in a 130 :Ha Dave.
